Welcome

I walked into a post office. The line to the customer service counter was long, but I waited. I noticed a man at the counter but didn't think much about him. I was looking at the cutest little boy tucking at his leg. The man and the boy left and I eventually made it to the counter.

Once I'd dropped off my package I headed out into the area where the exit door was. This same guy stopped me. He told me his name is Julian Gladney. He said he saw me months ago at a store and wanted to introduce himself to me, but didn't get up the nerve. He said he vowed that if he ever saw me again he wouldn't pass up the opportunity to meet. Then he gave me a card and asked me to call him. I thought, "that's not going to happen." But, the next day he sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and of course, I had to call to say thanks. Six years later, I'm about to marry that man! (I really like that post office.)

For This Man I Prayed

"Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11: 24)

I went to the post office to check on my post office box, it was a cool day in spring. As I walked in I saw Beverly in line and I immediately recognized her from not only Fox 6 News but a year before I saw her in DSW "Shoes" and I failed to summon the courage to introduce myself. I told myself that day that if I ever had the chance to meet her in person again I would not let her walk by without saying something to her.I was determined to meet her this time so as she finished her business at the desk I positioned myself at the doorway so I could intercept her before she walked out of my life forever. When she turned in my direction I was ready, she walked up took one look at me and turned all her attention to my three year old son Nate.

I summoned the courage to tell her my name and I told her I saw her the year before at DSW shoes but didn't say anything, we laughed and exchanged cards. The next day I ordered some flowers to let her know how much I appreciated the chance to meet her. As they say the rest is history
